​​I believe that the process of capturing the connection between horse and owner should be just as special as the images themselves. Here’s how your bespoke equine photography experience will unfold:

 

Collaborate

 

We begin with a personal phone call so that I can learn all about your relationship with your special horse.

​

We will discuss:​

• Your horse's unique character, their routine and their safe spaces where they live. We will cover any favourite locations that you like to visit together and whether these would make a good shoot location, as well as how to make your horse look their best for the shoot and how to prepare them for a calm and enjoyable session.

• Styling tips to ensure that you look and feel amazing at the shoot. I usually recommend three outfits for our two hour session although people usually bring more than that. You can never have too many options! I can then help you make the difficult choice on which outfits to select, whether you are looking for a relaxed country vibe, full evening gown glam or somewhere in-between. 

• Having someone with you on the shoot who can help keeping your horse's attention.

We will reconnect a couple of days before your shoot for a final check-in to answer any last-minute questions and to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.

 

Experience

 

Your session lasts around two hours, allowing us to work at a gentle, natural pace. I always take time to help your horse settle and guide you both in to moments that feel genuine and unforced.

What to expect:​

• On arrival, after I have met and got to know your horse, we will grab a tea/coffee and walk round your location to find the perfect backdrops for your pictures.

• We will go through the outfits that you have brought and decide what works best for the locations I have identified.

• We will work at your horses pace. It is important to me that you are both calm, relaxed and enjoy our time together.

• Regular breaks throughout the shoot, not only for outfit changes, but also for some well deserved refreshments be it coffee or hay!

Celebrate

​

Approximately two weeks after your photo shoot, I will invite you to a private viewing of your beautifully curated images at my Hampshire studio.

 

We will celebrate the moments captured between you and your horse. You will select your first favourite image, as your mounted and framed 16-inch fine art print. We will then go on to create the collection of your dreams, whether this is a beautiful handmade album celebrating your unique and special bond together, a group of framed images to adorn your walls and a safe backup of digital images that you can send friends and family or share on social media.

 

I will then have your curated collection, in what ever form you have chosen, sent to you by private courier to treasure forever.

How should I prepare my horse?

 

I will provide easy guidance during our planning call including grooming tips and what to bring on the day.

 

Can I include more than one horse or person as well as my dog?

Yes! Just let me know during our consultation so I can plan the session accordingly.

We’ll go over outfit options together both before the day and on the shoot itself to ensure that you look and feel amazing.

What if the weather’s bad or too hot?

No stress, we will simply reschedule. I’m flexible and used to working with the unpredictable British weather.

No matter where you are, I would be honoured to tell your story. If you are more than 30 miles away from my base I will just charge milage of 50 pence per mile.

Yes.
